Letter from the IPRA PresidentÂ
In 2008, before we had kids, my husband and I bought our first home just across the woods in The Meadows. Back then, the pool wasnât on our radar. But once our son was born, we joined with that new member discount, and like so many families at Indigo Park Pool, we were instantly hooked.
By 2017, when we were expecting our second child, we knew we needed a bigger house. I was the one who told our real estate agent, âthis pool is one of the best parts of living here,â and asked her to add it to our listing.
Eight years ago, we moved into Indigo Park down the block from the pool and into a house that used to belong to the Gilley family, the same family who started this pool and the Indigo Park Recreation Association back in 1968.
I love that full-circle story. What they built all those years ago still brings families together every summer. And now, in my second year on the board, I can honestly say itâs one of the most fulfilling ways Iâve ever served our community. I love being part of a team and carrying that spirit forwardâmaking this place a little better each year, and keeping it the heart of our neighborhood.
Our 2025 Annual Report reflects the community spirit that pulled us through the swim season and will push us beyond.Â
If you were unable attend our 2025 Indigo Park Pool Annual Meeting & Volunteer Appreciation, we managed to record most of it! 𫣠 Watch it here, and review a PDF of our presentation. If you'd like to see our P&L, shoot us an email.Â
We are grateful for each and every one of you!
Warmly,
Rebecca Scheetz
